Relationship and Marriage Counseling

One of the most complicated connections we make is a comitted relationship with another person. Couples who seek treatment  can feel lost, confused, scared, hurt, angry, resentful and/or disappointed in the other as well as in themselves. Some couples struggle with self blame, guilt, loss of self-esteem and emotional rawness triggering issues of traumatic past events such as abandonment or previous betrayals.

We will work together to explore the dangerous side of expectations & explore not only the causes but also the core of disappointed expectations and the unproductive “stories” that have led up to this negative dance. Couples will learn how to communicate effectively, moving towards giving & receiving the love, trust, respect and nurturing they have been seeking, even if it means in separate directions.
